#1 Otello Nerodi Lambrusco 1813

This wine is clear and medium ruby.

This wine is clean. It is medium + intensity aroma of red fruit(raspberry, cherry), mineral (iron), dried fruit (jammy). It is developing.

This wine is off-dry with medium acid, medium and coarse tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium flavor intensity of red fruit(raspberry, cherry), mineral (iron), hint of pungent spice (pepper). It has creamy bubbles with a medium – and simple finish.

Good quality. The wine shows its typicality of wine style and balance between sweetness, acid and tannin. But it does not have complexity and the finish is not long enough to be very good quality.

#2 Berlucchi 61 Rosé, Franciacorta

This wine is clear and medium orange.

This wine is clean. It is medium + intensity aroma of ripen red fruit (red berries, cherry), autolytic (yeast, bread, toasty), and floral (red flowers). It is developing.

This wine is dry with medium+ acid, low and soft tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ and round body, and medium+ intensity flavor of ripen red fruit (red berries, cherry), autolytic (yeast, bread, toasty), and floral (red flowers). It has creamy bubbles with medium finish.

Very good quality. This wine has complex and concentrated aroma & flavor, the balance of acid and sweetness is good. But the finish is not long enough to be a  outstanding wine.

#3 Beringer White Zinfandel Sparkling

This wine is clear and medium pink.

This wine is clean. It is pronounced aroma intensity of red fruit (strawberry, red cherry),red flower, candy. It is youthful.

This wine is medium sweet with medium acid, low and soft tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium+ flavor intensity of red cherry, strawberry & red flower. It has creamy bubbles with medium- finish.

Good quality. This wine shows its typicality, and has concentrated aroma. But this wine is not complex and the finish is not long enough to be a very good quality wine

#4 Codorniu Classic Rosado

This wine is clear and deep pink.

This wine is clean. It is medium aroma intensity of red berries, jammy, hint of yeast, gasoline, and red flower. It is developing.

This wine is dry with medium acid, medium- and well integrated tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity of red berries, sour cherry, yeast, gasoline, and red flower. It has creamy bubble with medium finish.

Good quality. This wine shows its complexity of flavor and aroma. The balance between acid and tannin is good. But lacking of concentration and not long enough finish stop the wine being very good quality.

#5 Eight Cuvée Sparkling Shiraz

This wine is clear and medium ruby.

This wine is medium+ aroma intensity of blackberry, cherry, dried fruit, cooked fruit, jammyness, pungent spices, pepper, earthiness. It is developing.

This wine is medium-dry with medium acid, medium+ and dense tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ and round body, medium+ flavor intensity of blackberry, cherry, dried fruit, cooked fruit, pungent spices, earthiness. It has creamy bubble with medium+ finish.

Very good quality. This wine is balance between acid, tannin and sweetness, and has complexity of flavor & aroma. The finish is fairly long enough. However, this wine not concentrated enough to be a outstanding wine.

#6 Champagne Devaux Rosé

This wine is clear and medium orange.

This wine is medium aroma intensity of red berries, cherry, red flower, yeasty, toasty and mineral (iron). It is developing.

This wine is dry with medium+ acid, low and soft tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity of red berries, cherry, red flower, yeasty, toasty, and creaminess. It has creamy bubble with medium+ finish.

Very good quality. This wine shows its complexity, balance between acid and sweetness. The finish is fairly long enough. But the wine is lacking of concentration to stop it from outstanding wine.


Conclusion:

這次的練習主題是有顏色的氣泡酒,相較來說是比較簡單的!紅氣泡主要需分辨出Lambursco跟Sparkling Shiraz的單寧強度。粉紅氣泡的部分,White Zin不是太困難的類別(但是寫結論好難…),Cava Rosado的顏色普遍比較深一些,應該都還可以分辨出來。

失敗點是Rosé Champagne & Franciacorta,釀法品種酸度表現都還滿類似的,根據Mark的專業指點,Champagne的酸度還是可以感受出多一些Limestone的清爽感,在重新喝一下,似乎有感覺…得再用心一點囉~
